Ten Years at Microsoft A Journey Shaped by People and Purpose
Celebrating ten years at Microsoft is a moment to pause reflect and express gratitude for the people and experiences that transformed my journey.
Reaching this milestone with Microsoft, my dream employer, is deeply meaningful. My journey began as a Premier Field Engineer (PFE) for Hyper-V, which at the time was a feature of Windows Server and is now a foundational component of Azure and many modern platforms and applications. From there, I transitioned into the Solutions Sales Team Unit (STU), where I continue to serve today.
Looking back, I consider myself incredibly fortunate. The people I’ve worked with and the talent I’ve been exposed to along the way have profoundly shaped both my professional journey and how I approach challenges, leadership, and growth.
I want to express my sincere appreciation to the many individuals who, in different ways, influenced this path.
I am grateful to my friend Nasos Kladakis, who was there for me long before I joined Microsoft and played a key role in shaping my journey, and to Ioannis Baniotis, who trusted me with my first opportunity as a PFE.
Nikos Anastopoulos played a pivotal role in nurturing my transition into sales, while Katerina Sourouni gave me a wake‑up call that helped me think more clearly about my future.
I am equally thankful to Tomaz Valjavec, Sevket Guller, and Eugene Piric for opening the door to the regional team and expanding my horizon beyond borders.
Ali Tahmasebi has been a constant source of inspiration, demonstrating how empathy, care for people, and strong business acumen can coexist and amplify impact.
Theodosis Michalakopoulos and Yanna Andronopoulou created an environment of trust and highlighted the unique opportunity and responsibility of serving Greece, Cyprus, and Malta
Finally, my heartfelt thanks to all my colleagues and team members, and especially Nikos Makris, for the support, guidance, and inspiration throughout this journey.
As I look ahead, I remain grateful, curious, and committed, to learning, to growing, and to helping change the world through technology. That truly makes a difference.
Here’s to the years ahead!
