Your Responsibilities

As application architect within the Systems Architecture process team, you will
•Translate complex business problems into sound technical solutions and provide technical and architectural direction to the business transformation projects and software development teams;
•Develop a reference application architecture and ensure that the development and change efforts adhere to architectural and design standards;
•Coordinate, working with project managers, business analysts, and other architects, day-to-day issues and tasks related to the development lifecycle of multiple business transformation projects;
•Provide insight and guidance on overall system design and provide technical leadership in the area of application architecture;
•Document and communicate architectural requirements within a distributed development environment (and relying on Commercial Off the Shelf Software implementation and integration strategies);
•Ensure cost-effective delivery of software applications, including the optimal selection of implementation technologies, practices and skills for application delivery success;
•Effectively integrate an application solution into the broader business and IT ecosystem in which it will operate;
•Proactively assist in defining the direction for future business transformation projects.

Your Skills

Qualifications
•A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least three (3) years attested by a diploma

Experience
•In addition to the above, at least one (1) year of relevant and proven professional experience gained after obtaining the diploma .

Experience and knowledge
i.Experience in architectural and software development;
ii.Experience with architectural abstractions, design patterns and object oriented modelling methods;
iii.Experience with technologies related to integration topologies and implementation of architecture and design patterns for heterogeneous environments (custom development and commercial off the shelf software platforms);
iv.Experience in creating and defining new architectural models;
v.Experience developing and delivering quality architecture work in an emerging technology environment, balancing trade-offs in function and performance (scalability, usability, security, maintainability);
vi.Knowledge by learning or experience of distributed computing and patterns such as service oriented architecture or message oriented architecture;
vii.TOGAF or equivalent certification will be considered as a plus.
