IT Management Office Division
at its headquarters in Luxembourg:
INTERN
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st July 2016)

Objective of the traineeship
The objective of the traineeship is to provide experience in the management of entire portfolios of IT projects, and thereby necessarily into the best practices of IT project management. It is expected from the Trainee that he/she will support the IT/ITMO/PMO (Portfolio Management Office) and IT/ITMO/TPM (Transversal Project Management) Units in managing the EIB IT project portfolio and in keeping all IT Project Managers informed and updated on rules and regulations, templates, tips and tricks. He/she should actively propose improvements in the processes and systems used.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Head of Portfolio Management, the trainee will work as a Junior Programme Manager and participate actively in the monthly reporting cycle. His/her main tasks will be
 Project reporting
 Portfolio reporting
 Data reconciliations with accounting
 Update and consolidate documentation directed at Project Managers and Stakeholders, mainly on MS SharePoint
Academic qualifications and professional skills
 Final year of studies or degree in IT, engineering, mathematics or physics
 Good to advanced knowledge of MS Office software, in particular Excel and Word.
 Knowledge of MS Project and/or MS Project Server would be an advantage.
 Practical knowledge of a document management system would be an advantage.
Competencies
 Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and/or French.
 Ability to write documents in English.
 Strong organisational skills with capability to plan, to organise, prioritise and to anticipate potential issues
 Proactive, dynamic, self-starter
 Ability to analyse and to document problems and their solutions
 Flexibility and reliability, result orientation
 Resistance to repetitive jobs
 Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team
 Good communication skills both oral and written
