Objective of the traineeship The objective of the traineeship is to provide experience in the management of IT projects, and thereby necessarily into the best practices of IT project management. It is expected from the Trainee that he/she will support the IT/ITMO/TPM (Transversal Project Management) Unit in development and documentation of new Project Management methodologies and templates as well as in keeping all IT Project Managers informed and updated on rules and regulations, templates, tips and tricks. He/she should actively propose improvements in the processes and systems used and how they are shared with the rest of IT. Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Head of Unit Transversal Project Management, the trainee will work as a Junior Project Manager and participate actively in the following two initiatives: Improvement of a Project Management Competence Centre and the development of a new Project Management methodology. His/her main tasks will be: Develop new processes and templates supporting the new Project Management methodology Update and consolidate documentation directed at Project Managers and Stakeholders, mainly on MS SharePoint Develop additional toolkits for Project Managers as part of the Competence Centre Academic qualifications and professional skills Final year of studies or degree in IT, engineering, mathematics or physics Good to advanced knowledge of MS Office software, in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of MS SharePoint administration would be an advantage. Knowledge of MS Project and/or MS Project Server would be an advantage. Practical knowledge of a document management system would be an advantage. Competencies Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and/or French. Ability to write documents in English. Strong organisational skills with capability to plan, to organise, prioritise and to anticipate potential issues Proactive, dynamic, self-starter Ability to analyse and to document problems and their solutions Flexibility and reliability, result orientation Resistance to repetitive jobs Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team Good communication skills both oral and written Please note that deadline for application is the 07/08/2016.
