Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence Analyst
 
 
Job Description
 
Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence Analyst works closely with our clients as part of a cross-functional team responsible for the delivery of large-scale DWH/BI solutions to support their operational, tactical and strategic reporting as well as other analytical business needs.
 
The Analyst has a sound understanding of DWH/BI concepts and participates in the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of such projects from business requirements gathering to solution design, development, testing and roll-out.
 
 
Key responsibilities may include:
 
  • Participate in workshops with client’s stakeholders in order to validate business requirements & functional specifications
  • Apply modelling skills to design, develop and maintain physical and logical DWH models
  • Leverage data analysis skills to analyze business areas, understand source systems’ data and map them to DWH data model
  • Work closely with subject matter experts & technical team, to ensure the design meets the business requirements
  • Design, build & test, ETL processes (using SQL Server Integration Services packages) to move and transform data based on defined data architecturesParticipate in the definition of best practices, standards and optimization techniques to enhance the DWH/BI solution
- Basic qualifications
Professional Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in computer science, information systems, or other quantitative field
  • Master’s degree in computer science or Business Administration (MBA) will be considered as a plus
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (ETL, Staging/Target Area, OLAP, Dimensional Modelling, Data Marts etc.)
  • Strong data modelling skills
  • Solid understanding of data acquisition, cleansing, and integrations processes
  • Previous working experience of 1 to 3 years in DWH/BI projects preferably in the Banking industry
  • Functional knowledge of banking products (lending, deposits, investments) will be considered as a plus
  • Proven experience with at least one commercial DWH/BI stack, preferably Microsoft (Integration Services - SSIS, Analysis Services - SSAS, Reporting Services - SSRS)
  • Expertise in SQL
  • Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment
  • Advanced analytical abilities & problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet travel requirements, when applicable
