RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST Ensures that all required steps and actions are taken to resolve incidents and customer requests following the established models, outlined by the Service Delivery Manager. These actions are in concert with additional support tiers including: Service Desk, Systems Section, Information Assurance and on a case-by-case basis including the appropriate Engineering section, with an overall aim of providing timely 1st, 2nd and when possible 3rd level support for networking and communication services, and their inherent associated technical assets (e.g. routers, switches, crypto Manager, etc.). Will also maintain, update and modify network management and monitoring services, and support Networking and Communication Technicians in planning both Incident and Problem Management functions based on scheduled and systematic analysis reviews. SUPERVISORY/GUIDANCE DUTIES N/A 9. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS The incumbent may be required to undertake operational deployments and/or Temporary Duty (TDY) assignments both within and without NATO's boundaries. The Service Desk operation consists of a combination of Service Desk members: Operators, Server/Application Specialists and Network Specialists. In a combined effort, these members provide support to services and systems on a 24/7 basis, thus are subject to on-call and overtime duties after normal working hours. These duties are established by the Head Intelligence Service Operation (ISO) at any time and will follow NATO Civilian Personnel Regulations (CPRs). Limited travel required to include short term deployments. 10. CONTRACT: The successful applicant will be offered a 3-year definite duration contract, which may be renewed for a further period.
