Windows Vista & IE7 Readiness Tour!

Η Microsoft Ελλάς σας προσκαλεί στην Ημερίδα Windows Vista & IE7 που θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο κτίριο της (Λεωφ. Κηφισίας 211, Μαρούσι) την Πέμπτη 28 Σεπτεμβρίου 2006.

Δύο διακεκριμένοι ομιλητές, o Markus Mielke (IE7) και o David Webster (Vista), έρχονται στην Ελλάδα για μια και μοναδική επίσκεψη και για να συναντήσουν από κοντά πελάτες και συνεργάτες. Στόχος είναι να παρουσιάσουμε στους επαγγελματίες και τις εταιρίες ανάπτυξης λογισμικού τα σημεία στα οποία πρέπει να εστιάσουν ώστε οι εφαρμογές τους να είναι συμβατές με τα νέα αυτά προϊόντα. Ταυτόχρονα, μέσα από πρακτικά παραδείγματα θα δοθούν λύσεις στις απορίες του κοινού και θα αναλυθούν τρόποι με τους οποίους μπορείτε να εκμεταλλευτείτε τις νέες δυνατότητες ενσωματώνοντας αυτές σε δικές σας εφαρμογές. 10:00 - 11:30	Internet Explorer 7 - Μέρος Α This session will provide an overview of the new functionality and user impact of Internet Explorer 7. We will show you the lessons we learned from IE6 SP2 and how it motivated us to drive for improvements IE7. We will then show you how the three pillars of better user experience, security, trustworthy browsing and platform are used to make your sites shine in the eyes of a user visiting your site with Internet Explorer 7.

11:45 - 13:15	Internet Explorer 7 - Μέρος Β In this session, we will talk more about the developer aspects of Internet Explorer 7. You will learn how we prioritized the IE platform work and we will talk about our commitments to standards. We will describe the changes to the platform; specifically the security model (protected mode), RSS and Layout (improvements to our CSS support) and Object model (to make building AJAX type applications easier). Finally, we will give you tips and hints for how you can prepare your pages for IE7 and what tools we provide to make the transition as smooth as possible.

In this session, we'll review our top-10 developer calls to action by walking through several out-of-the-box experiences and illustrating how you can provide similar experiences in your applications.

15:45 - 17:15	Using Key Windows Vista Native APIs from Managed Code Windows Vista provides an extensive set of new APIs that enable enhanced security, new user experiences and new ways to connect to information. While much of this functionality is delivered in the .NET Framework 3.0, there are also a large number of features being exposed through native COM and Win32 APIs. During this session we'll highlight many of these new native APIs, and look at strategies and techniques for taking advantage of them from managed code. Learn what's really involved in making your .NET application "light up on Windows Vista" with User Account Control (UAC) awareness, integrated desktop search, and new Windows Vista User Experience features like common file dialogs, task dialogs and command links.
