Group IT Network Engineer

Main duties and responsibilities:

• The Network Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing of network & wireless infrastructure, application components, performs a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and training tasks to ensure the computer network performance meets company and user satisfaction. Additionally, proposes direction, information, and recommendations regarding network configurations and installations.
• Ensures that all solutions and services implemented are aligned with approved IT architecture, adhere to the latest security standards and best practices and support companyΆs requirements for scalability, agility and reliability.
• Responds to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors and etc. to provide technical assistance and support.
• Designs, setups and configures complex wireless networking that supports open or secured access and the ability to support voice and video applications.
• Maintains multi-site network operations and software applications, operating systems and regular maintenance with both private and public facilities.
• Manages assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.

Candidate profile:

• B.Sc. in Software Engineering or Computer Science; an advanced degree will be considered a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in network architecture design, implementations of LAN/WAN technologies, VoIP and Unified Communications integrations with Skype for Business , windows server and hypervisors networking, group policies and procedures, and IT Service Management.
• Good knowledge of Windows Server environment and Hypervisor networking.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a Global Company environment.
• Applying consistent change management processes, and composition of policies and procedures.
• Excellent team player with ability to cope with a multicultural business environment.
• Ability to deliver on complex project requirements and tasks.
• Attention to the detail with analytical and synthesis capability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English.
• CCNA, CCNP certification and/or CCDA will be considered a plus.
• ITIL certifications will be considered a plus.
• Traveling from time to time is required.
• Military Service fulfilled (if applicable).
