Group IT Systems Engineer

Main duties and responsibilities:

• The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for organizing, modifying, maintaining, supporting company's worldwide Data Centers, peripheral Computer Rooms and their facilities, Server and Computer systems, SAP Systems Landscapes, Cloud Services integrations, adequate understanding of LANs, WANs, Internet and intranet systems, network segments, Virtualized environments (servers & desktops), analyzing, monitoring, reporting, troubleshooting,  and supporting internal users according to policies and procedures of the company.
• Performs installation, configuration, trouble-shooting, monitoring and maintenance of Windows servers and Virtualized environments (Hyper-V, VMware).
• Monitoring operations, support and maintenance of SAP systems landscape. Performs daily SAP basis operational checks, maintains stability, and runs corrective actions for continuous operation of SAP instances.
• Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups, analyze and isolate issues.
• Supports network department for components including Routers, Switches, Firewalls, VPN, DNS.
• Manages the data center and computer host systems including hardware, software and Data Center facilities.
• Ensures that all solutions and services implemented are aligned with approved IT architecture, adhere to the latest security standards and best practices and support companyΆs requirements for scalability, agility and reliability.
• Stays current with technological developments in systems administration technology and recommends ways to take advantage of new technology
• Documents and records any changes or incidents performed on all systems through the Change management reporting systems.

Candidate profile:

• B.Sc. in Software Engineering or Computer Science; an advanced degree will be considered a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in server architecture designs, Unified Collaboration, Cloud Services, Mobile Device Management, Windows Servers and Hypervisors, incident management, troubleshooting tools, group policies and procedures, and IT Service Management.
• Minimum of three (3) yearsΆ experience in SAP Basis support and system landscapes.
• Good knowledge in server security & hardening, and basic network systems.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a Global Company environment.
• Excellent team player with ability to cope with a multicultural business environment.
• Ability to deliver on complex project requirements and tasks.
• Attention to the detail with analytical and synthesis capability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English.
• Traveling from time to time is required.
• Military Service fulfilled (if applicable).
