JR Technologies is looking for Junior JAVA Developers for full and permanent employment in its Technology & Innovation Center in Chania for the design, development and support of airline software applications.

                Job Description

               - Source code writing in JAVA Spring Framework

               - Participating in QA for the implementation of appropriate software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation).and code reviews

               - Providing first level production support. 

               - Deal with web infrastructure and high-performance, scalable distributed systems.

               - Carry out application performance analysis and optimization.

               - Business trips are not to be expected.

                Typical qualifications

               - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an information technology field (e.g., Computer/Management Information Systems (MIS/CIS), Computer Science (CS), Electrical/Computer Engineering (EE/CE), or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

               - Knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) as well as object-oriented programming (OOP) and the J2EE framework and data architectures, Spring Framework and Hibernate.

               - Experience with WEB Services (REST, SOAP) and XML.

               - Experience writing complex SQL queries (My SQL Server preferred).

               - Experience working with Agile methodology.

               - Moderate knowledge of industry standards and best practices surrounding all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.

               - Demonstrate strong problem solving skills.

               - Very good English written and oral communication skills.

                Desired qualifications

               - Experience with NO-SQL data warehouse (e.g. Cassandra)

               - Experience / knowledge of airline & travel domain

               - Experience with some of HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, AngularJS, JavaScript, JQuery.

               - Experience in software design and system architecture.
