Σήμερα θα δούμε και θα αναλύσουμε το Personal Archive Mailbox στον Exchange Server 2010 SP1. Με την εμφάνιση του Exchange 2010 RTM παρουσιάστηκε το Personal Archive, ένα feature το οποίο μας έδινε την δυνατότητα αποθήκευσης παλιών μηνυμάτων ή και PST σε ένα Archive Mailbox, το οποίο βρίσκετε στον Exchange Server μας και είναι διαθέσιμο Online. Με τον ερχομό του SP1, το limitations του personal archive mailbox στην ίδια βάση με το user mailbox σταμάτησε να ισχύει και πλέον έχουμε την δυνατότητα επιλογής όταν ενεργοποιούμε το personal archive mailbox να το δημιουργήσουμε σε ξεχωριστή βάση. Πάμε να δούμε παρέα την διαδικασία ενεργοποίησης Personal Archive σε ξεχωριστές βάσεις… Διαδικασία ενεργοποίησης Personal Archive σε ξεχωριστές βάσεις 1. Πάμε στο Exchange Management Console και επιλέγουμε στο Recipient Configuration—>Mailbox. 2. Πάμε στην επιλογή ActionsàView και επιλέγουμε Add/Remove Colums 3. Στην καρτέλα Add/Remove Columns επιλέγουμε Archive State—>Add—>OK 4. Όπως μπορούμε να δούμε και στην εικόνα μας, η στήλη Archive State έχει προστεθεί και τα στατιστικά του Personal Archive είναι διαθέσιμα. 5. ‘Όπως μπορούμε να διακρίνουμε ο χρήστης paidiaexoumemail, δεν διαθέτη Personal Archive, πάμε να το επιβεβαιώσουμε και μέσα από το Outlook Web App. Η ενεργοποίηση του Archive, είναι πολύ απλή: 1. Κάνουμε δεξί κλικ στον χρήστη που θέλουμε να ενεργοποιήσουμε την δυνατότητα Enable Archive… 2. Έχοντας επιλέξει την δυνατότητα Enable Archive… μας εμφανίζει το παράθυρο, Enable Archive Mailbox και επιλέγουμε Browse. 3. Στην ουσία, μας δίνει την δυνατότητα επιλογής αποθήκευσης του Personal Archive σε ξεχωριστή Mailbox DB (Data Base). Σημείωση: Μπορούμε να φτιάξουμε μια Database που θα είναι μόνο για archiving και θα είναι σε πιο φθηνούς δίσκους (SATA). 4. Επιλέγουμε την Mailbox DB (Data Base) που θέλουμε και επιλέγουμε ΟΚ. Σημείωση: Εάν θέλουμε να ενεργοποιήσουμε το Archive είναι Premium feature και χεριάζετε Exchange Enterprise Client Access License (CAL). 6. Πάμε να δούμε μέσα από Outlook Web App τον χρήστη paidiaexoumemail 7. Θα δημιουργήσω έναν φάκελο στο Online Archive- paidiaexoumemail και θα το ονομάσω Backup Inbox, όπου εν συνεχεία θα μεταφέρω το Mail μου από το Inbox του paidiaexoumemail στο φάκελο Backup Inbox του Online Archive- paidiaexoumemail 8. Τέλος, πάνε να δούμε εάν το μήνυμα μας, μεταφέρθηκε στο φάκελο Backup Inbox του Online Archive- paidiaexoumemail. Είμαι στην ευχάριστη θέση να ανακοινώσω αυτό που όλοι περιμέναμε…. Exchange 2010's Archive mailbox για το Outlook 2007!! Η Microsoft έκανε released το cumulative update για το Outlook 2007 το οποίο μας δίνει την δυνατότητα πρόσβασης για το Exchange 2010's Archive mailbox. Περιμέναμε λιγάκι παραπάνω για αυτήν την δυνατότητα στο Outlook 2007, τώρα η αναμονή αυτή έφτασε στο τέλος της.. Το Hotfix 2458611 είναι διαθέσιμο για download για x86 πλατφόρμα. Όλοι θυμόμαστε το ακόλουθο μήνυμα λάθους: The WinRM client cannot process the request. It cannot determine the content type of the HTTP response from the destination computer. The content type is absent or invalid Το είχα αναφέρει στο παρακάτω Post μου: Μήνυμα λάθους όταν προσπαθείτε να εισέλθετε στην κονσόλα Exchange Management Shell (EMS) ή Exchange Management Console (EMC) Στον Exchange 2010 τα Management tools βασίζονται στον IIS. Υπάρχουν περιπτώσεις που τα management tool που συνδέονται με τον Exchange server αποτυγχάνουν και τα μυνήματα λάθους που μας έδιναν ήταν δύσκολα προς την επίλυση τους. Έτσι κάπως «γεννήθηκε» το Exchange Management Troubleshooter (EMTshooter). Το EMTshooter εκτελείται local (target) στον Exchange server και επιχειρεί να προσδιορίσει τα πιθανά προβλήματα των management tools. Μπορείτε να το κατεβάσετε από εδώ! Πρώτο Post για τον Δεκέμβριο μήνα και ενώ βρισκόμαστε σε Χριστουγεννιάτικο κλίμα, εμείς θα συνεχίσουμε να μιλάμε για Exchange Server. Σήμερα θα σας αναφέρω ένα θέμα το οποίο μου έτυχε πρόσφατα, αλλά και τον τρόπο επίλυσης του. Το παρόν θέμα εμφανίστηκε μετά από ΜΗ σωστή εγκατάσταση του SP1 του Exchange Server 2010. Συμπτώματα Δεν μπορούσαμε να ανοίξουμε το Outlook Web App και μας έδινε το ακόλουθο error: HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error, Module "exppw" could not be found Επίλυση 1. Μεταβείτε στον IIS Manager επιλέξτε το όνομα του Server (Server Name) και επιλέξτε «Modules». 2. Κάντε κλικ στην επιλογή ‘Configure Native Modules’ -> επιλέξτε ‘Register’ -> πληκτρολογήστε το όνομα ‘exppw’. 3. Έπειτα κάντε browse και επιλέξτε το path του αρχείου: c:\Programme Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\Client Access\OWA\Auth\exppw.dll (όταν c:\ είναι το default drive που έχουμε εγκαταστήσει τον Exchange) 4. Οι παραπάνω αλλαγές θα πρέπει να εφαρμοστούν στο Default Web Site (DWS) και στο OWA Virtual Directory (VDir). Σημείωση: Εάν το ‘EXPPW’ Module δεν είναι διαθέσιμο στο OWA (VDir), προσθέστε το επιλέγοντας ‘Configure Native module’ και θέστε το path μόνοι σας, όπως είπαμε παραπάνω (c:\Programme Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\Client Access\OWA\Auth\exppw.dll (όταν c:\ είναι το default drive που έχουμε εγκαταστήσει τον Exchange). 5. Διαγράψτε το ‘EXPPW’ module και από το αρχείο DWS. 6. Τέλος επιβεβαιώστε ότι το module του OWA (VDir), ‘Module Type’ είναι ρυθμισμένο στο ‘Native’ και το ‘Entry Type’ είναι στο ‘Local’ Η αιτία που η οποία μας έδωσε το παρόν μήνυμα λάθους : Το ‘EXPPW’ Module κάτω από το OWA Virtual Directory (VDir) στον IIS Manager είτε λείπει είτε δεν είναι σωστά ρυθμισμένο.. Μετά από εγκατάσταση του SP1 του Exchange Server 2010, η δυνατότητα επιλογής όλων των Options του Outlook Web App έδινε μήνυμα λάθους «Unexpected Error occurred and your request couldn't be completed. Please try again». Προσπαθώντας να κάνω Browse την σελίδα https://servername/ecp μέσα από τον Server, μου έδινε το ακόλουθο error: « An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request». Στην ουσία, μετά την εγκατάσταση του SP1, όλα τα Options του Outlook Web App (ECP,OAB και όλες τις υπόλοιπες δυνατότητες) δεν εμφανίζονταν . Η επίλυση του θέματος μου ήταν δύο απλά βηματάκια: Βήματα Επίλυσης: 1. Start—>Type CMD and run CMD as Administrator 2. Type cd\windows\system32 3. Type lodctr /r and then running an iisreset Notes /R is uppercase. You must have administrative rights on the computer to successfully perform this command. The Lodctr /R:<filename> command is the standard method to restore performance counter registry strings and information by using a file name. Και με αυτόν τον τρόπο επανήλθαν όλα όπως έπρεπε να ήταν, κάνοντας rebuild τα Performance Counter Library values.
