To βιβλίο τα έχει όλα virus trojan σε αεροπλανα τανκερ νοσοκομεια πυρηνικούς αντιδραστήρες κτλ και φυσικά θα γίνει best seller και σίγουρα ταινία...Zero Day!!!

Μετά απο 4+ χρόνια συνύπαρξης με ένα Wireless Optical Notebook Mouse το 'τρωκτικό' μου έπαθε βλάβη και αποφάσησε ότι δεν θα κάνει

αριστερα clicks ή θα τα κάνει random ...ετσι του έδωσα σύνταξη .

Οπότε αποφάσησα να πάρω ένα νέο Arc Touch Mouse.

Εντυπώσεις:

1. Εντυπωσιακη εργονομία αν και είχα συνηθησει τα μικρά Wireless Notebook ή τα Desktop Wireless Optical 6000 v2.

Στην αρχή σε ξενίζει το περίεργο σχημα αλλα μετα απο 5 min επαφή το συνηθίζεις.Eίναι ούτε πολύ μικρό αλλα ούτε οπως τα Desktop mouse πολυ μεγάλο.. κάτι ενδιάμεσο θα έλεγα ...

2. Αυτό που δεν συνηθίζεις είναι ότι το δάκτυλο σου ψάχνει την "ροδέλα" στην μέση σαν να σου λείπει κάτι .....μετα απο τόσα χρόνια συνύπαρξης με αυτό τον τροχό παθαίνεις ένα πολίτισμικό σοκ [].

Μετά πάς σε μια σελίδα και scrolareis με το μικρο touch pad ...και η "ροδέλα" ακούγετε ..εχουν ηχητικά εφφε [] ..αν το περάσεις και με ταχύτητα το δάκτυλα

 ακούγετε και να γυρίζει o τροχός ..[][]!!!!

3. Μετά είναι τα διάφορα κόλπα με το Touch Pad

4. Πολυ καλή δουλεια έχει γίνει ....ελπίζω να αντέξει........

5. Οταν το απλώνεις το ευθυγραμίζεις δηλαδή..."σβήνει" ...οταν το διπλώνεις .."ανάβει" !!!! []

6. Και πάλι είναι το acceleration speed του cursor στο full ..το γράφω για αυτους που με γνωρίζουν και όποτε αποφασίζουν να δουν κάτι στο laptop μου ή στο pc μου ..όταν πιάνουν το mouse μου ...εχουν μια έκφραση ...τρόμου στο πρόσωπο ... απο το throttle του ....σαν να έχουν κάνει αγώνα dragster ..
"Ειναι πολύ γρήγορο skok" !!!!!

Και αυτές οι θέσεις προφανώς σε 24 h  δεν θα υπάρχουν !!!

Ολοκλήρωσα την εγγραφή μου και θα είμαι Online να σας παρακολουθήσω !!!

Ελαβα το e-mail με την εκδήλωση στις 21/1 16:18 .

Ξεπούλησαν σε σχεδόν 24+ h και σε non - working hours !!!

This week, Craig Mundie, chief research and strategy officer at Microsoft, gave a glimpse of more NUI technologies during speeches to students at Duke University and MIT....

Craig’s demo was a large stereoscopic 3D display that showed some of the possibilities of human-scale computer interaction. In it, he showed what it might be like to interact with your computer when it is bigger than you — like the size of a room...

 Craig was able to walk into a 3D world where he could shop and play games, interacting with people in both the physical and virtual environment in a very natural way.

This means it will be possible to visit anywhere in the world virtually — to hike the Grand Canyon or shop in Paris on the Champs-Elysées for example — from the comfort of your living room. It’s the start of an exciting journey toward computing that is more like us.

Το LightSpace Project της Microsoft δίνει μια άλλη διάσταση στο Surface .Ουσιαστικά πλέον κάθε επιφάνεια,τοίχος και δωμάτιο μπορεί να γίνει Surface μέσω Projector.
Μπορείς να μετακινήσεις τα virtual objects από επιφάνεια σε επιφάνεια πολυ απλά με Drag & Drop ( στην κυριολεξία ..!!!).

Χαρακτηριστικό o τίτλος του PC Magazine

Microsoft: IE9’s Graphics Acceleration Better Than Chrome and Firefox

Προσωπικά και εγώ μένω εντυπωσιασμένος απο την ταχύτητα που έχει λόγω του graphics acceleration και του Chakra Engine.Απλά δεν υπάρχει σύγκριση π.χ με τις προηγούμενες γενειές browsers τον συγκρινα στο site  με graphics acceleration http://hacks.mozilla.org/2010/09/hardware-acceleration/  με Mozilla Firefox 3.6.9 και η τιμες ήταν Firefox 6 fps και ΙΕ 9 61 fps .Βέβαια αναφέρει το pc magazine ότι στο test http://demos.hacks.mozilla.org/openweb/HWACCEL/ o Firefox 4 beta 5 πιανει 91 fps.

To Microsoft Research Project Tuva είναι ένα site σε Silveright που περιέχει και αντίστοιχο Media Player.

Αποτελεί ουσιαστικά ένα προσωπικό project του Bill Gates με το Microsoft Research.

To Project Tuva δημιουργήθηκε για εκπαιδετικούς σκοπούς και κυρίως για να φιλοξενήσει τις 7 διαλέξεις του νομπελίστα φυσικού Richard P. Feynman με τίτλο  The Character of Physical Law  που δώθηκαν στο Cornell University το 1964 .

Οι διαλέξεις που μπορείτε να παρακολουθήσετε στο Project Tuva είναι οι εξής :

Ο Bill Gates όπως αναφέρετε και στο άρθρο Bill Gates offers the world a physics lesson ήταν θαυμαστής του έργου του Feynman και η δημόσια προβολή των διαλέξεων του αποτελούσε για αυτόν ένα όνειρο 20 ετών που πραγματοποιήθηκε.

Ηθελε μέσα από αυτήν την κίνηση να παρέχει στο ευρύ κοινό τις διαλέξεις ενός από τους μεγαλύτερους θεωρητικούς φυσικούς του 20ου αιώνα και έτσι να εμπνεύσει και τις επόμενες γενιές.

Ο Richard Feynman βραβεύτηκε το 1965 με το Nobel Prize της Φυσικής  για το έργο του στην Κβαντική Ηλεκτροδυναμική (Quantum electrodynamics QED).

Διάσημα βιβλία του είναι τα The Feynman Lectures on Physics

και επίσης είναι γνώστα τα διαγράμματα Feynman που εξηγούν τις αλληλεπιδράσεις στην Πυρηνική Φυσική.

Αν αγαπάτε την φυσική και αν είστε ακομή φοιτητές θα πρέπει απαραίτητα να παρακολουθήσετε τις παραπάνω διαλέξεις.

O Feynman είναι επίσης ένας απο τους πρωτοπόρους στην θεμελίωση του επιστημονικού πεδίου του Quantum Computing.

Πίσω στο 1985 έγραψε την εργασία με τίτλο Quantum Mechanical Computers στην οποία εξηγεί τους μηχανισμούς με τους οποίους θα είναι ικανό να πραγματοποιησεί υπολογισμούς

ένα θεωρητικό μοντέλο Quantum Computer .

Στην εργασία του αυτή ξεκινάει με την έκφραση:

This work is a part of an effort to analyze the physical limitations of computers
due to the laws of physics

και καταλήγει στον επίλογο :

At any rate, it seems that the laws of physics Present no barrier to
reducing the size of computers until bits are the size of atoms, and quantum
behavior holds dominant sway.

Προφητικό ???!!! Ισως ..Το μέλλον θα δείξει...αν αντί για bit χρησιμοποιούμε πλέον σαν μικρότερη μονάδα μετάδοσης πληροφορίας το quantum bit (qubit).

Ενα νέο σημαντικό άρθρο από τον Mark στο οποίο αναλύει ένα case που αντιμετωπίσανε στο Microsoft Support και αφορούσε πελάτη που ανάφερε ότι το Outlook γινόταν hang σε Exchange Users μετά από 15 min.

The Compound Case of the Outlook Hangs

Για το troubleshooting και την επίλυση του case χρησιμοποιήθηκαν τα  εξής tools :

- Performance Monitor

- Sysinternals ProcDump

- Debugging Tools

Το πρόβλημα στο Outlook αρχικά εκτιμήθηκε ότι οφειλόταν σε ένα Symantec Antivirus και επιλύθηκε εν μέρει με patch του προιόντος.

Στην συνέχεια ξαναεμφανίστηκε και μετά από ανάλυσει απο Performance Monitor των CPU spikes που προκαλούσε το Store.exe του Exchange

και την ανάλυση του store.exe process dump

procdump.exe -n 20 -s 10 -c 75 -u store.exe c:\dumps\store_75pc_10sec.dmp

απο WinDg

Καταλήξανε στο συμπέρασμα ότι το παραπάνω Stack Frame (EcFindRow function) δημιουργούσε τα CPU Spikes του Store.exe και οφειλόταν σε κάποια μεγάλα exchange database queries.

Αυτά τα μεγάλα database queries εμφανίζονται σε Exchange που περιέχουν Inboxs με παρα πολλά items per folder.

Χρησιμοποιώντας το shell script που περιγράφετε στο άρθρο :

Finding High Item Count Folders Using the Exchange Management Shell

βρήκαν τα items per folder per mailbox στον Exchange και συνέστησαν στους Users να μειώσουν τo μέγεθος των folders .

Ετσι το πρόβλημα επιλύθηκε.

Τα limits που υπάρχουν στους Exchange για τα items per folder είναι
