Windows Management Framework 3.0 makes some updated management functionality available to be installed on Windows 7 SP1, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 & Windows Server 2008 SP2. Windows Management Framework 3.0 contains Windows PowerShell 3.0, WMI & WinRM.

Windows PowerShell 3.0
Some of the new features in Windows PowerShell 3.0 include:

Workflows
Workflows that run long-running activities (in sequence or in parallel) to perform complex, larger management tasks, such as multi-machine application provisioning. Using the Windows Workflow Foundation at the command line, Windows PowerShell workflows are repeatable, parallelizable, interruptible, and recoverable.

Robust Sessions
Robust sessions that automatically recover from network failures and interruptions and allow you to disconnect from the session, shut down the computer, and reconnect from a different computer without interrupting the task.

Scheduled Jobs
Scheduled jobs that run regularly or in response to an event.

Delegated Administration
Commands that can be executed with a delegated set of credentials so users with limited permissions can run critical jobs

Simplified Language Syntax
Simplified language syntax that make commands and scripts look a lot less like code and a lot more like natural language.

Cmdlet Discovery
Improved cmdlet discovery and automatic module loading that make it easier to find and run any of the cmdlets installed on your computer.

Show-Command
Show-Command, a cmdlet and ISE Add-On that helps users find the right cmdlet, view its parameters in a dialog box, and run it.

WMI
WMI in Windows Management Framework 3.0 introduces:

A new provider development model
This new model brings down the cost of provider development and removes the dependency on COM.

A new MI Client API to perform standard CIM operations.
The API can be used to interact with any standard WsMan + CIMOM implementation, allowing management applications on Windows to manage non-Windows computers.

The ability to write Windows PowerShell cmdlets in native code
The new WMI Provider APIs supports an extended Windows PowerShell semantics API allowing you to provide rich Windows PowerShell semantics. e.g., Verbose, Error, Warning, WhatIf, Confirm, Progress

WinRM
With Windows Management Framework 3.0:

Connections are more robust
Session disconnect and reconnect, with or without client session reconstruction, allows long-running tasks to continue even when the session in which they were started is closed and the client computer is shut down. This feature also allows administrators to reconnect from different computers to check the status of remote running tasks and get results.

Connections are more resilient
In Windows PowerShell 3.0, connections can survive short-term network failures; the client-server connection is not severed at the first sign of trouble. If network problems persist, the client is safely disconnected and can reconnect by using the Connect-PSSession or Receive-PSSession cmdlets.

Windows PowerShell Web Service
Windows PowerShell Web Service enables an administrator to expose a set of PowerShell cmdlets as a RESTful web endpoint accessible via the (Open Data Protocol (OData). This provides remote access to invoke cmdlets from both Windows and non-Windows clients.

Server Manager CIM Provider
The Server Manager CIM Provider packaged with Windows Management Framework 3.0 allows you to manage your Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 SP2 servers from Server Manager in Windows Server "8" Beta.

για να δικαιολογήσουμε την απουσία ...

Επίσης θα περάσεις από επιτροπή που θα ελέγχει το Scom Μonitoring σου τα MP σου , και θα αποφανθεί αν λες αληθεια αλλιως θα έχεις κυρώσεις ...[]

Ελπίζω με το SP1 για SCOM 2012 να έχεις καποιο proactive alert ... βαλε το SP1 CTP σε VMM και DPM ... αρχικά...[]

Σημαντική διάκριση πέτυχε Έλληνας εκπαιδευτικός, στον πανευρωπαϊκό διαγωνισμό για Πρωτοπόρους Εκπαιδευτικούς που φιλοξενήθηκε στο Πανευρωπαϊκό Φόρουμ «Συνεργάτες στη Μάθηση» 2012 της Microsoft. Η εκδήλωση διεξήχθη στη Λισαβόνα, από τις 19 έως τις 22 Μαρτίου, συγκεντρώνοντας 250 εκπαιδευτικούς από περισσότερες από 40 ευρωπαϊκές χώρες, ενώ στις 22 Μαρτίου πραγματοποιήθηκε η τελετή βράβευσης, όπου ανακοινώθηκαν οι βραβευθείσες συμμετοχές.



Ο κ. Δημήτρης Ράμμος από το 23ο Δημοτικό Σχολείο Πειραιά κέρδισε τη δεύτερη αναπληρωματική θέση στην κατηγορία Knowledge Building για το project «Διαδραστική Γεωμετρία». Το project αυτό αποτελεί μια διαφοροποιημένη διδακτική προσέγγιση συγκεκριμένων εννοιών της Γεωμετρίας. Οι μαθητές, χωρισμένοι σε ομάδες, καλούνται να παρουσιάσουν τη θεωρία των εννοιών αυτών, δημιουργώντας και προβάλλοντας τραγούδια, βίντεο, εννοιολογικούς χάρτες και διαδραστικές παρουσιάσεις, αξιοποιώντας λύσεις και εργαλεία της τεχνολογίας. Κερδίζοντας τη συγκεκριμένη διάκριση, ο κ. Ράμμος εξασφαλίζει τη συμμετοχή του στο Παγκόσμιο Φόρουμ «Συνεργάτες στη Μάθηση» της Microsoft, το οποίο θα λάβει χώρα φέτος τον Νοέμβριο στην Αθήνα.

Η μεγάλη πανευρωπαϊκή διοργάνωση της Microsoft για την εκπαίδευση φιλοξένησε και φέτος πρωτοπόρους εκπαιδευτικούς από όλη την Ευρώπη, οι οποίοι είχαν πρώτα διακριθεί στις αντίστοιχες τοπικές διοργανώσεις στη χώρα τους. Στο φετινό Πανευρωπαϊκό Φόρουμ «Συνεργάτες στη Μάθηση» βραβεύτηκαν συνολικά 24 καινοτόμες προτάσεις διδασκαλίας από τις συνολικά 81 συμμετοχές, οι οποίες αξιολογήθηκαν από κριτική επιτροπή που απαρτιζόταν από 30 ειδικούς.

Νικήτριες συμμετοχές ανά κατηγορία αναδείχθηκαν οι ακόλουθες:

Εκτός από τη συμμετοχή του κ. Ράμμου, την Ελλάδα εκπροσώπησαν φέτος στον διαγωνισμό δύο επιπλέον δράσεις εκπαιδευτικών, οι οποίες βραβεύτηκαν κατά τη διάρκεια του Φόρουμ «Συνεργάτες στη Μάθηση» που πραγματοποιήθηκε στις αρχές του Μαρτίου στην Αθήνα. Συγκεκριμένα, οι κ. κ. Κωνσταντίνος Φράγγος και Σωτήριος Βούλγαρης από το 2o ΕΠΑΛ Χαλκίδας διαγωνίστηκαν παρουσιάζοντας το project «Ηλεκτρονική Παρακολούθηση Υγείας (Monitoring Health System)», καθώς και οι κ. κ. Κωνσταντίνος Δημητρίου και Μάρκος Χατζητάσκος από το Λύκειο Κολλεγίου Ψυχικού (Ελληνοαμερικανικό Εκπαιδευτικό Ίδρυμα) που παρουσίασαν το project «Από μαθητές … για μαθητές, ένα καινοτόμο πλαίσιο ανάπτυξης υψηλής ποιότητας εκπαιδευτικού υλικού από μαθητές για μαθητές».

Με την αφορμή της διάκρισής του, ο κ. Δημήτρης Ράμμος δήλωσε «Η εμπειρία της συμμετοχής στο Πανευρωπαϊκό Φόρουμ Συνεργάτες στη Μάθηση της Microsoft ήταν πραγματικά όμορφη και ωφέλιμη. Καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια των εργασιών του Φόρουμ, μου δόθηκε η ευκαιρία να γνωρίσω αξιόλογους εκπαιδευτικούς από όλα τα ευρωπαϊκά κράτη και να πάρω πολλές ιδέες από τις πρωτοποριακές εκπαιδευτικές πρακτικές που παρουσιάστηκαν. Επιπλέον, η γνωριμία και η επαφή με τα νέα εργαλεία τεχνολογίας που σχεδιάζονται και προορίζονται για εκπαιδευτική χρήση ενίσχυσε σε σημαντικό βαθμό την τεχνογνωσία μου στον τομέα αυτό.

Από την άλλη, η διάκριση στον Πανευρωπαϊκό διαγωνισμό αποτελεί δικαίωση τόσο των δικών μου προσπαθειών όσο και της αστείρευτης έμπνευσης των παιδιών, με τα οποία αλληλεπιδρούμε δυναμικά σε καθημερινή βάση. Σε μια εποχή γεμάτη δυσκολίες και διαρκείς ανακατατάξεις, δεν πρέπει, ως εκπαιδευτικοί, να ξεχνάμε πως ο ρόλος μας είναι περισσότερο ιερός από ποτέ. Ευχαριστώ θερμά τη Microsoft Ελλάς για τη στήριξή της και είμαι έτοιμος να εκπροσωπήσουμε από κοινού με τον καλύτερο δυνατό τρόπο την Ελλάδα στο Παγκόσμιο Φόρουμ Πρωτοπόρων Εκπαιδευτικών που διοργανώνεται για πρώτη φορά στη χώρα μας τον προσεχή Νοέμβριο».



Στο πλαίσιο της ολοκλήρωσης των εργασιών του Φόρουμ και τη βράβευση του Έλληνα εκπαιδευτικού, ο διευθύνων σύμβουλος της Microsoft Ελλάς, κ. Ernst-Jan Stigter, δήλωσε: «Μέσα από το Πανευρωπαϊκό Φόρουμ “Συνεργάτες στη Μάθηση”, η Microsoft επιβραβεύει σημαντικές εκπαιδευτικές δράσεις, αναδεικνύοντας σταθερά τη δυνατότητα των εκπαιδευτικών να αξιοποιήσουν τις νέες τεχνολογίες για να αναβαθμίσουν τη διδασκαλία τους. Οι εκπαιδευτικοί που κάθε χρόνο συναντάμε μέσω των συγκεκριμένων διοργανώσεων, πραγματικά μας εκπλήσσουν με το έργο τους και την όρεξή τους, αλλά και μας γεμίζουν αισιοδοξία. Εκ μέρους της Microsoft Ελλάς, θα ήθελα να ευχαριστήσω όλους τους πρωτοπόρους εκπαιδευτικούς που συμμετείχαν φέτος στον ελληνικό διαγωνισμό και να συγχαρώ θερμά αυτούς που στη συνέχεια διαγωνίστηκαν και στον πανευρωπαϊκό. Εύχομαι επίσης συγχαρητήρια στη ελληνική διακριθείσα συμμετοχή για τη σημαντική αυτή επιτυχία και καλή επιτυχία στους τελικούς του διαγωνισμού που θα διεξαχθούν στο Παγκόσμιο Φόρουμ “Συνεργάτες στη Μάθηση” που θα πραγματοποιηθεί τον Νοέμβριο στην Αθήνα».

Σημειώνεται ότι το Πανευρωπαϊκό Φόρουμ «Συνεργάτες στη Μάθηση» πραγματοποιείται σε ετήσια βάση και εντάσσεται στην ευρύτερη πρωτοβουλία της Microsoft για την εκπαίδευση «Συνεργάτες στη Μάθηση». H πρωτοβουλία αυτή ξεκίνησε το 2003, ενώ μέχρι σήμερα 9.486.446 καθηγητές πρωτοβάθμιας και δευτεροβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης και 202.139.714 μαθητές από 114 χώρες σε όλο τον κόσμο έχουν συμμετάσχει σε εκπαιδευτικά προγράμματα της εταιρείας. Η εν λόγω πρωτοβουλία στοχεύει στην προώθηση της χρήσης της τεχνολογίας στην πρωτοβάθμια και δευτεροβάθμια εκπαίδευση, καθώς και στην αξιοποίηση των δυνατοτήτων που παρέχει το λογισμικό στη δημιουργία καινοτόμων μεθόδων διδασκαλίας και στην ανάπτυξη νέων ευκαιριών μάθησης.

Aνοίγεις το Regedit

Backup θα κάνεις αρχικά σε όλο HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies

Μετά σβήνεις το Key και το Hint key κάτω από το HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Ratings

Και Restart.

Και κάνεις Disable το Content Advisor.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.8 include:

Virtualization

The spice-client package now adds support for Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.0 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.2 hosts. These improvements also allow users to access their desktop virtual machines over a WAN connection in addition to the local network.

KVM enhancements include improved guest boot times and improved clock and timer support. The KVM hypervisor has updated real time clock (RTC) support to improve the performance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 guests on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 KVM hosts.

Hardware Support and Streamlined Installation

Support for Power Management Quality of Service (QoS) provides automatic power management at the device level for managing latency and throughput based on QoS needs. During critical production windows, system administrators can enforce a high-performance, low-latency mode.

New iotop support enables the monitoring of I/O resources, such as storage devices, at the process level, providing insight into potential performance issues.

PCI-e 3.0 enablement provides support for new and emerging PCI-e 3.0 adapters.

Network, storage and graphic driver enhancements for recent hardware.

The configuration of IP over Infiniband (IPoIB) adapters is now supported by the system installer, making installation of Infiniband adapters easier.

Security Management

OpenSCAP (Open Security Content Automation Protocol) support is now compliant with the SCAP 1.1 (Security Content Automation Protocol) specification, the most recent standard framework defined by National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for creating a standardized approach for maintaining secure systems.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 has been tested to the United States Government Configuration Board (USGCB) baseline and now meets the USGCB recommendations for government agencies following USGCB guidance for secure configuration policies.

The Apache Web Server began as a fork (an independent development stream) of the NCSA httpd Web server created by Rob McCool at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA). After McCool's departure from NCSA in 1994, an online community of individuals called the Apache Group formed to support and enhance its software via email collaboration. The Apache Group’s founding members included Brian Behlendorf, Roy Fielding, Rob Hartill, David Robinson, Cliff Skolnick, Randy Terbush, Robert Thau, and Andrew Wilson.

Within less than a year of the Apache Group's formation, the Apache server surpassed NCSA httpd as the #1 server on the Internet –and remains so to this day. In March 1999, members of the Apache Group formed The Apache Software Foundation to provide organizational, legal, and financial support for the Apache HTTP Server.
