"Downgrading" Exchange server from 2007 to 2003

Ξέρω τι θα πείτε!!!!  .... Αλλά να εξηγήσω ότι απλά άλλαξε το plan και τώρα δεν θέλω να στήσω το DC από την αρχή ... Έχω 2 VM  - 1 DC και στο άλλο τον Exchange 2007.

 

Έχετε κάποια suggestions έτσι ώστε να στήσω ένα νέο VM (32bit) (να δώσω ίδιο IP) και να εγκαταστήσω 2003 χωρίς να έχω προβλήματα με τον DC?

 

Θα είναι αρκετό να σβήσω το Ex Administrative Groups από ADSIEdit? (το διάβασα στο TechNet)

 

Δεν μου έχει ξανασυμβεί και δεν είμαι 100% σίγουρη. Any help would be appreciated []

δεν κατάλαβα ακριβώς τι θέλεις να κάνεις. Θες να κάνεις uninstall τον exch 2007?
Νομίζω ότι θα σου δόσει και λύση στο θέμα σου.
Αν ναι την πρώτη φορά που το έκανα έφαγα πίκρα με το uninstall.

Και τα κατάφερα χωρίς κάποιο άλλο θέμα με τα παρακάτω

Αφού βγάλεις τα mail τους Connectors κλπ <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Χτυπάει στο Public Folder.

Well, using ADSIEdit certainly can be used, but you should do so carefully. 

If you choose to do this via ADSIEdit, you would navigate to the location

of the Public Folder Store, and simply delete it there.  As an example location, in ADSIEdit, you would go to

Configuration, Configuration, Services, Microsoft Exchange, First Organization, Administrative Groups, Exchange Administrative Group, Servers, Servername, Information Store, First Storage Group. 

Then on the right hand pane, you would highlight the Public Folder Store and Delete it. 

This performs basically the same function as the cmdlet does, or removing it via the Exchange Management Console.

ΛΥΣΗ 2 ένα άλλο που είχα δει
Open Exchange 2007 management shell (CMD line) and type following commands:

Get-PublicFolder -server xxxxx "\" -Recurse -ResultSize:Unlimited | Remove-PublicFolder -server xxxxx
-Recurse -ErrorAction:SilentlyContinue

Get-PublicFolder -Server xxxxx "\Non_Ipm_Subtree" -Recurse -ResultSize:Unlimited | Remove-PublicFolder
-Server xxxxx -Recurse -ErrorAction:SilentlyContinue

Replace xxxxx with your Exchange server name in the above command.

ΛΥΣΗ 3 Και κάτι ακόμη 

ΛΕΣ ΝΑ ΕΙΝΑΙ ΤΟΣΟ ΑΠΛΟ??

Try this..
dismount the public store, rename the old public store db folder, remount (it will recreate the public folder db)  use adsiedit tool to navigate to the Configuration/Services/Microsoft Exchange/<your organization container>/  Find the 2nd storage container that contains the public folder object and delete it. 

This allowed me get past the uninstall check tools, because there was no pf db to be found.  The problem looks like MS doesn't display the folder replicas too easily. Exchange 2007 is more of a downgrade for experienced exchange admins rather than an upgrade!

Η λύση που μου είχε παίξει ήταν με το ADSIEdit (ΛΥΣΗ 1), και μάλιστα 3 φορές έκανα κάποτε uninstall τον Exchange 2007 και τον ξαναέστησα άπό την αρχή στον ίδιο Server.
Οπότε εγώ θα έκανα Uninstall τον exchange και δεν θα είχα κάποιο άλλο θέμα. []

Ναι δεν έγραψα πολλές λεπτομέρειες, sorry  .... Βασικά αυτό που θέλω είναι να κάνω Uninstall τον 2007 έτσι ώστε μετέπειτα να φτιάξω ένα νέο VM για να κάνω Install τον 2003.

 

Public Folders δεν έχω καθόλου, μόνο mailboxes που δεν με νοιάζει αν χαθούν (είναι lab)

 

To ζητούμενο είναι να μην έχω πρόβλημα με τον domain controller όταν θα στήσω τον Exchange 2003.

Uninstall έχω κάνει σύμφωνα με αυτά που έγραψα παραπάνω.

Στο Uninstall ακόμη και χωρίς public Folders από ότι θυμάμαι χτυπάει η διαδικασία και δεν προχωρά.

Η λύση είναι αυτή που γράφω στην ΛΥΣΗ1 με το Adsi Edit.

Σβήνεις τις εγγραφές που αναφέρω και στη συνέχεια μπορείς να κάνεις uninstall τον exchange 2007.
