               Berkeley & Imperial LP is seeking candidates for the position of Software Engineer at the office in Thessaloniki.

Job description: Develop and document state-of-the-art software and web based tools for application in industrial context.

Tasks will include: Write well designed, testable, efficient code. Software development and analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review. Software testing and quality assurance. Determine and communicate the design and implementation of software systems including relevant strengths/weaknesses and reasons for implementation decisions. Support, maintain, and document software functionality. Integrate software with existing systems. Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation. Collaborate with a team to develop strategies and identify requirements for all stages of software development (planning, design, etc.) Job Requirements:

                              Post-graduate Degree (Masters Degree or PhD.) in Computing or Engineering.

                              Fluency in English.

                              Working experience developing software tools and web based databases.

                              Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL, MySQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).

                              Advanced knowledge and ability to develop software in C, C++, C#, Java, MS Visual Studio (VB.NET, .NET) or other selected languages

                              Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket).

                              Knowledge of communication protocols (TCP/IP, Modbus, Profibus, CANopen etc) and experience with embedded microprocessors and microcontrollers will be an advantage.

                              Familiarity with software development methodology and release processes.

                              Ability to document requirements and specifications.

                              Good communication and teamwork skills are also required, together with motivation, creativity and a willingness to learn.
