               Position Title:

               Working Student / Software Engineer for 5G Service Development Platform

               General Purpose:

               Acts under guidance on specified competence area that may include thesis-related work.

               Works as SW Developer for 5G Service Development Platform

               Main responsibility area:

               As Software Engineer for 5G Service Development Platform you will be responsible for developing and deploying a complete solution for future 5G services.

               Position description:

               Your tasks and duties will include development of:

               - an SDK to enable efficient and fast development of network functions and composition of new services and

               - a deployment platform for testing and deploying services and managing service execution

               Position Requirements

               - Very good knowledge in Java (EE will be considered an asset)

               - Familiarity with Unix/Linux

               - Basic knowledge in REST Web Services

               - Basic knowledge of Linux containers and management/orchestration ecosystem (e.g. Docker, Swarm, Mesos+Marathon, Serf, etc.)

               - Knowledge/experience in any of the following technologies/methodologies will be considered an asset:

               o Vagrant

               o Git

               o AWS or AWS compliant cloud services (e.g. Eucalyptus), DigitalOcean or similar.

               o Amazon Web Services (command line tools)

               o Dropwizard or similar for fast prototyping REST services

               o Retrofit or similar for fast prototyping REST clients

               o Any team collaborating software e.g. Asana, Atlassian family of products (Jira, confluence, HipChat, etc.), Slack

               o Jenkins CI or similar

               o Agile methodology

               o Contributions to open-source projects

               To succeed in this role you need to be enthusiast about open-source and bleeding edge technologies, have the ability to learn fast and loves to experiment with new technologies, self-manage time and weekly assigned tasks.
