Kenotom is a startup company in Thessaloniki, Greece, providing engineering services with focus on the German automotive industry. Kenotom started in 2014 and the current main activities lie in the area of Basic Software (drivers) and Application Software for Electronic Control Units (ECUs), Testautomation for ECUs with Hardware-in-the-Loop systems and control engineering.

 

               We are looking immediately for highly motivated

 

               • Software Engineers (embedded C) Overview

 

               The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and integrate embedded software for high performance microcontrollers used in the automotive industry. The candidate will be responsible for working with other engineers to ensure that program goals are met, schedules are maintained and problems encountered during the development process are satisfactorily resolved. The position will be based in Thessaloniki, Greece but business trips up to 10% of the time may be requested. Strong candidates shall have experience developing software for Electronic Controls Units (ECUs) and shall demonstrate competency with ECU requirements engineering, software design, software testing and software release procedures. The candidate shall have a working knowledge of the C programming language for embedded applications.

Responsibilities

 

               • Responsible for working on all areas of the software development lifecycle for ECU software, which includes requirement engineering, design, implementation, integration, testing, release and support.

 

               • C code development and on occasion use of script languages.

 

               • Issue tracking and problem resolution.

 

               • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

 

               • Master's Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.

 

               • 1-3 years of work experience in relevant areas.

 

               • Experience with embedded software development and hardware debuggers, understanding of real-time systems.

 

               • Ability to read PCB schematics.

 

               • Experience with instruments (oscilloscopes, signal generators etc).

 

               • Knowledge of German is a significant plus.

 

               • Experience with version control systems.

 

               • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

 

               • Excellent time management skills.

 

               • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is an absolute must.

 

               • Documentation Skills - Demonstrates ability to write coherently to describe algo-rithms design, theoretical and test results.

 

               • Communication Skills - Demonstrates ability to effectively communicate with peers, supervisors and customers.

 

               • Teamwork - Considers and seeks out the impact of his/her actions within the team.

 

               Leads and actively seeks collaboration with internal and external team members.
