Junior IT Technician in Athens

Our client is a leader in the Greek luxury shipping and travel industry.  We have a job opening for a Junior Technician which is an exciting opportunity that provides great learning opportunities to the successful candidate in the ever growing Tourism and Hospitality industry in Greece. The ideal candidate will be working within the company's newly established MIS team which extends to all their vessels. The candidate will enjoy occasional cruising with the crew to ensure the smooth functionality of all systems, discuss and analyze new needs of a vessel for all future developments and work closely with the MIS team to implement upgrades.

        

Responsibilities Include: 

• Provide daily level 1 user support, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to workstations’ hardware or software.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides.
• Monitor corporate antivirus, backup applications.
• Maintain / Repair computer systems (hardware, OS, MS office, office automation)

Candidate Profile: 

• TEI/AEI Degree in Informatics
• Minimum:  1-2 years systems administration experience.
• Technology Skills (all hardware, OS and Networks, basic knowledge of TCP/IP Protocol, VLANs, Wi-Fi, DHCP and DNS services, MS Active Directory, File Sharing Services, Exchange Server, VMware vSphere technology, Linux servers, Cisco Call Manager)
• Fluent in both English and Greek (Speaking, Reading & Writing)
