The EIB, the European Union’s Bank, in the framework of its GRAD program, is currently seeking to recruit for its Risk Management Directorate (RM) within itsDirectorate General Office (DGO), at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a:

Graduate in IT

Appointment on this post is for a fixed period of 2 years

Purpose

The Graduate will assist the Directorate General Office (DGO) in the area related to Information Technology to contribute to the development and the implementation of a reporting strategy for RISK management.

The DGO provides operational and horizontal support and services to RM Teams, in particular to RM Managers, in terms of strategic communication, human resources, budget execution and logistics.

The Graduate will work under supervision of senior colleagues and will interface with internal as well as external contacts to support the DGO's activities.

Accountabilities

  • Contribute to the development of a reporting strategy about RM’s activities by participating in: (i) research on reporting tools available on the market, (ii) tool design and implementation as well as (iii) testing and maintenance.
  • Help in designing strategic materials and tools aligned with business priorities as needed (such as reports, guidelines, dashboard).
  • Produce the necessary modalities, support and tools for the assessment and management of the reporting strategy.
  • Work closely with the DGO team members to contribute to the implementation tools of the DGO Annual Work Program (that includes the Recruitment Plan, Procurement Plan, Communication Strategy, Reporting Strategy and Budget Plan).

     

Qualifications

  • University degree,  ideally in IT, engineering or mathematics
  • Thorough knowledge of advanced functions of the Bank’s standard office tools, particularly Excel, Project and Visio
  • Experience in computer-based information processing and management, preferably in an international environment, would be an advantage
  • Experience in designing and setting up reporting tools would be a strong asset
  • Knowledge and experience of Google Analytics would be a strong advantage
  • Strong ability to write documents in English
  • Excellent knowledge of English and/or French(*) with a good  knowledge of the other language. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage.

(*) There may be certain flexibility on this requirement, but limited to particularly suitable candidates who may not yet be proficient in French. If selected, such candidates will be hired on the condition that they build up rapidly knowledge of French and accept that their future career in the EIB may be subject to the attainment of sufficient proficiency in both of the Bank's working languages
